I rate LOTR BFME2 as being a 5/5 game definitely.
C&C3 tib wars is more of a 4/5 imo.
Still looks nice what with all units having a secondary attack option.
Gonna have to be good though cause ive got alot riding on Red Alert3 come November.........
When people add up the price of the 360 do they always say "but you have to buy a wi-fi adaptor because the PS3 has one built in,thus this makes the 360 even more expensive.........."
I dont know anyone who has bought a wi-fi adaptor but MS are giving us the choice to buy it if we want it - it is by no means a nessesity,and alot of people prefer the more solid performance of a cable connection anyways........
For a console that outperforms its hd rival ...
Just because Nintendo got lucky this gen and people are buying into the Wii phenomenom in a big way!
Seriously are any of there games in the same league as MGS4,GT5P,Gears1,Oblivion etc..........
Its a good thing Nintendo did come out on top this gen otherwise Sony or Microsoft could have ended up buying them after being dominated for 10 or so years.

I know the setting of Fallout 3 is post apocalistic ish but i do prefer the lovely greens and crumbling castles of Oblivion.
Really cant make my mind up to get this or not.
Footage ive seen doesnt really 'grab me' like i thought it would and i havent got that 'magical buzz' about the game at the moment that ive got for Gears2 and Red Alert3..........

I dont think so - before the 360 and PS3 were released is was lauded that because of the high dev costs that the games (in the UK anyway) would be as follows:
New 360 title £55
New PS3 title £60
This generation it seems as though games have been the same price as they have for the last few generations.......
With the advent of shopping on the net really taking off...
Is before the next gen comes out people will be touting the term 'photo realistic graphics are now possibile'.......
I strongly believe that life like graphics are still about 15 years away.
Go watch the Halo Wars trailer (cgi) its awesome isnt it? - i doubt that graphics of this quality will be possibile in real time on the PS4 etc - maybe the PS5 but still under scrutinity you can tell that its not photo realistic.

This argument/theory is irrelevant.
Fact is that even if Sony never sell another PS2 from this day forth the console will still go down as one of the all time greats - a success story only matched by a certain handheld from Nintendo.
The 360 cant kill the PS2 - the PS2 is already immortal.
Remember playing the original R-Type in the arcades when i was younger and pumping loadsa 10p's in the machine.
Still remember the music vividly from the first level - still think the bouncy laser is one of the best weapon upgrades ever!
Would love to see it released like Ikaruga - hidef version maybe with better collision detection also.

Sega games - people still like the games that are over 10 years old.
Wouldnt it be nice if Sega did bring out a new console with Sega Rally 3,Virtua Fighter 6,Shenmue 3 and a brand new Panzer Dragoon Saga like rpg.........
Their games were just so damn playable - they just felt 'right'

I disagree - i think that out of all of Sonys offerings that we know are coming out soon this is by far the freshest.
I also think that if Sony market the game well then they could have their first 'true' mascot in the shape of Sackboy - its gotta lot of potential.
Sorry i know they had Crash Bandicoot et all but to me no company has come out with anything to rival either Mario,Link or Sonic as a gaming mascot.

Say you and 20 of your buddies have this and you all create levels then you might feel abliged to play those levels - chances are a majority of them arent gonna be as good as the ones on the disc so you will end up with a bad taste in your mouth.
Unless you can rate each level and a list of the top 100 downloadable ones is available for you to download.........

I thought the first guys preview was the hating.....didnt like the controls etc and i expected on page 2 for the next guy to sing its praises but HE turned out to be the hater.
Not much praise at all by all accounts.
Sony have so much riding on this,they have pumped loads of $ and 4 years of dev time into it also - if it doesnt get scores of 9 from a mass majority of sites then they will have let alot of people down.
Still time will tell and theyve...

Nintendo have been in the game twice as long as Sony with regards to videos gaming........the only company with a heritage as rich as Nintendo are Sega.
Sony are still the new kids on the block to some extent but are doing very well.
I think that the Wi has reached its technical peak allready - graphics wise.
The 360 will probably peak around 2010 and the PS3 around 2011 - both graphics wise again.
The consoles could last until 2018 but if one company is going to get the jump on others with regards to releasing a 'super console' then the other companys will be left behind somewhat......
Thus i think that when the next gen is released that all 3 will release within 18 momths of ...
Then that kinda makes me the biggest geek on N4G......
